Meet the Founder

LaSonya Woods is the founder of Mid-South Employment Institute (MEI) and ME Institute, a faith-based K–12 microschool in Cordova, Tennessee. She is a dedicated educator and workforce development leader committed to helping non-traditional learners succeed through personalized, career-focused education.
With a passion for bridging the gap between education and employment, LaSonya creates innovative programs that combine hands-on learning, real-world experiences, and individualized instruction. Her work empowers students and adults to discover their strengths, develop practical skills, and transition confidently into meaningful careers.
LaSonya’s mission is rooted in service, faith, and the belief that every individual has purpose and the ability to thrive.
